Against the Eagles on Thursday Night Football in Week 7, Giants QB Daniel Jones showed us all that heâs got some speed! But he also revealed that when it comes to his sprinting technique, he has some work to do.
With just less than nine minutes left in the third quarter, Jones escaped from the pocket, found a hole, and sprinted up the field, with nary a defender around him. But around the 20 yard line, something happened (Distracted by his teammates on the sidelines? Attacked by the turf monster?), causing Jones to trip and fall clean onto the turf.
Even though the Giants scored later on the drive, it was one of the more hilarious and meme-able moments of the 2020 NFL season so farâand very emblematic of the four teams that play in the NFC East (...will anyone win that division this year?).

Here at Runnerâs World, we had some thoughts while watching Jones sprint and stumble.
Was he wearing Alphaflys? No? Maybe he should be wearing Alphaflys??

Proper running form calls for a slight forward lean, but that was excessive.

We canât stress this enough. Run đ Through đ The đ Line.

Dude should have chugged some Maurten so he didnât hit the wall so quickly.

ADAM DAVY//Getty ImagesThe worldâs best marathoners use it. Daniel Jones needs some, too.

Kevin MorrisDidnât Tiki play football at one point? đ
Maybe he thought it was a training run, and didnât want to finish ahead of all of his friends?

ScreenshotHis friends were laughing on the sidelines, so maybe not.
If youâre going to eat a Wawa hoagie before the game, make it a shorti.
Jones obviously wanted to emulate his favorite Philadelphia mascot.
He needs to get some track lines to use like bowling bumpers so he doesnât swerve so much.
Like Jeffâs last marathon: Running PR pace through 21 miles, then BAM! Hits the wall.

ScreenshotGiants G Nick Gates (No. 65) was feeling optimistic about Jonesâs chances here.
Coach is definitely making the team run laps after practice.

When I remembered there was a Presidential debate going on, I wanted to fall over, too.
